Assistance Payment Programs require income eligibility screening, and most services require interview for eligibility screening. Applications are available at the agency and services are free to those who qualify.
Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF): Formerly AFCD. Financial assistance is available to families with children who meet income and resource criteria. Colorado Works requirement with this assistance
Child Support Enforcement: Assistance with securing court-ordered child support payments
Food Stamps: Income-based eligibility for food assistance. Emergency assistance is available. Job search requirements are associated with this assistance
Medicaid: Medical assistance for children and pregnant women who meet income and resource criteria, Supplemental Security Income, Old Age Pension, Aid to Needy Disabled/Aid to the Blind (interim assistance while SSI application is processed), Transportation (for health care for Medicaid clients), and Qualified Medical Benefits (medical bill assistance for those not qualifying for Medicaid)
