These programs offer a safe place for parents to exchange their child(ren) back and forth. The case manager makes sure the parents do not have contact during the exchange. The Supervised Visitation program is for parents who do not have custody of their child and need a supervised environment in which to have a visit.

Assistance is provided with rent, utilities, gasoline, prescriptions, bus tickets and other emergency needs in order to meet the needs of the community without discrimination. The Salvation Army interfaces with all county agencies. Thrift stores in Cortez and Dolores are able to provide necessity items from shelves to assist clients in emergency situations. There are no minimum income requirements. Some restrictions and limits apply. An application and photo identification are required for each assistance request. Family services are also dependent on need and availability of funds. Services are free. In some cases, client may be required to provide work hours in conjunction with financial aid. Volunteers are encouraged to contact the Salvation Army Family Service Center.

A non-profit approach to the planning and delivery of services and benefits for senior citizens, maximizes dignity and independence, emphasizes home environments and self-care, and advocates for needs while removing barriers to benefits. Administers the Older Americans Act Program, and assists with development of a Senior Services Network for Region 9, with an emphasis on services and benefits for those aged 60+ in the greatest social and economic need in Archuleta, Dolores, La Plata, Montezuma, and San Juan counties. Vocational and technical education at the high school, post-secondary, and adult educational levels are offered to residents of Archuleta, Dolores, La Plata, Montezuma, and San Miguel counties. Programs are available to anyone 16 and older. Applications are available at the admissions office. Contact admissions for current costs, which include tuition, books, tools, etc. depending on the program. Financial aid is available.
