Federal loans and homes are available for very-low and low income individuals and families in Montezuma, Dolores, La Plata, Archuleta, San Juan, and San Miguel counties. Applicants must provide information regarding gross annual income and amount of outstanding debt as well as demonstrate the ability to make payments either with employment or any other source of regular income.  Monthly payments depends on family income and household size. Loan and grant programs are also available for very-low income individuals to help with home improvements to make the home decent, safe, or sanitary (i.e. windows, roof, insulation, etc.).
