No Image AvailableYouth and unskilled adults are prepared for entry into the labor force; and job training is afforded to individuals facing serious barriers to employment. Economically disadvantaged, disabled, school dropouts, dislocated workers and older workers (55+) in Archuleta, Dolores, La Plata, Montezuma, and San Juan counties are targeted. Income guidelines and eligibility screening apply. No economic eligibility available for dislocated workers.
Employment Counseling: Vocational assessment and pre-employment skills training including job interview techniques and resume writing
On-Job Training: Work experiences provided for some target groups and work with employers to secure jobs with on-site training possibilities for individuals within target group
Vocational Education Assistance: Vocational assessment and some financial assistance with vocational education
Job Search Assistance: Offered in conjunction with the Workforce Center
