No Image AvailableAssistance is provided with rent, utilities, gasoline, prescriptions, bus tickets and other emergency needs in order to meet the needs of the community without discrimination. The Salvation Army interfaces with all county agencies. Thrift stores in Cortez and Dolores are able to provide necessity items from shelves to assist clients in emergency situations. There are no minimum income requirements. Some restrictions and limits apply. An application and photo identification are required for each assistance request. Family services are also dependent on need and availability of funds. Services are free. In some cases, client may be required to provide work hours in conjunction with financial aid. Volunteers are encouraged to contact the Salvation Army Family Service Center.
